"Who am i to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Who are you not to be?" - Nelson Mandela

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Nelson Mandela

Achieving your personal best in everything you do. Nelson Mandela' s speech shows that an individual should not be afraid to achieve his personal best. Some people are afraid that they cannot achieve their personal best. Some people are afraid that their personal best is not as good as other peoples. That is why we have to work hard, to improve our personal best. It's not about other people, it's about yourself. Everybody has the right to achieve their personal bests. The next step would be to improve that. By achieving our own best, we inspire others to do the same. Every great individual has gone through this process. We look apond them in awe, wishing that we could be as great as them. The truth is, we can, all of us can. The only thing keeping us back is fear, fear of not being able to. It doesn't matter where you are, what you're doing or when you're doing it. It doesn't matter who you are, what nationality you are or what colour you are. We are all human and equal, so everybody has a right to do their best in everything they do. And that's what leads to success. Nelson Mandela is one of the greatest and most successful individuals in the world and he is telling us that, all of us can be like him, as long as we work hard to improve our personal best. His best is also our best. We are all human, so why can't we be like him? Because we are afraid, afraid of something that we need not be afraid of. Achieving that high score, improving that high score, take out the fear, and becoming your personal best, and everybodies personal best.
